WHY THE LOBSTER POUND?

For over 20 years the Weirs Beach Lobster Pound stood as a cornerstone at Weirs Beach supporting all things "Bikeweek". Thousands of visitors to bike week enjoyed the food, the entertainment, and the hospitality the Lobster Pound had to offer.

In the fall of 2006 and major remodeling of the entire facility took place. With the opening of the newly completed facility in May of 2008 a new era was born. But been absolutely gorgeous new building and spruced up grounds Bikeweek kicked off the New Lobster Pound.

It was evident right from the start that great food, outstanding entertainment would be the hallmark of the New Lobster Pound. The first year was undeniably a great success thanks to the efforts of the Ray family and the entire staff. The Lakes region finally has an entertainment venue that is top shelf. 2009 promises to be another banner year for entertainment during Bikeweek. Come and join the festivities, enjoy the entertainment and fine food the Lobster Pound and The Laconia Roadhouse has to offer.

We've been coordinating this event on our property since 1985. Also, our 90% exhibitor renewal cannot be ignored.

Our 1000' frontage on Route 3 at Weirs Beach makes us the largest and, certainly, the most noticed venue in the area for this event.

Our Roadhouse features live entertainment daily by popular bands.

Wild Turkey is a featured sponsor along with Budweiser.

Our security is top-notch and 'round the clock'. Closed circuit cameras monitor the Roadhouse and other points around the property. Employees and vendors are required to wear ID tags. No one is admitted to the property between the hours of 1:00am and 8:00am during which time guards are on patrol.
